Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Broadside: Pirate Cannons ("the game") collects and why. We collect as little as we need to run the game.
What we collect
- Account data: a random player ID created on your device, your captain name and, if you sign in with Game Center, your Game Center player ID and display name.
- Game data: trophies, currencies, crew, chests, quests, match records (moves and results) and friendly room codes.
- Purchases: the App Store transaction ID and product of each in-game purchase, to deliver gems and prevent fraud. We never see your payment details.
- Analytics and crash reports: we use Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand how the game is played and to fix crashes. They collect device and app information, events such as "match finished", and crash logs.
- Advertising: optional rewarded ads are served by Google AdMob. If you allow tracking in the iOS prompt, AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to show relevant ads; if you decline, ads are not personalized.
How we use it
To run matches and progression, match you with other players, deliver purchases and rewards, prevent cheating, show optional ads, and improve the game. We do not sell your personal data.
Sharing
Data is processed by our server provider and by Google (Firebase, AdMob) under their own privacy policies. Other players can see your captain name and trophies.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the game: Settings, Account, Delete Account. This removes your player profile, matches and progress from our servers. Purchase records needed for accounting may be kept as required by law.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
We will post updates to this page and change the date below.
